As we reflect back on 2019, we see the world abuzz with calls for innovation in higher education. At Saint Joseph’s College, we view innovation as much more than a passing fad. The pressures on private colleges, especially the faith-based ones, are real. At Saint Joseph’s, we have chosen to meet these challenges head on by changing our thinking. We have therefore dedicated ourselves over the past five years to enhancing what we have always done well, while focusing on new enterprises and programs that will develop leaders of all ages for the future. We are proud of the developments and synergies that have arisen from this work, including the Institute for Integrative Aging, the Institute for Local Food Systems Innovation, the Center for Sustainable Communities, and the Center for Faith and Spirituality. Each endeavor integrates our educational mission, serves a need in society, and promises a new revenue stream to sustain the College financially.

In short, economic and demographic pressures have made us more innovative, entrepreneurial, and outward facing than ever before. I invite you to read more about our new endeavors and keep a look out for a refreshed website that invites learners of all ages to join us on campus and online. Saint Joseph’s has something for everyone, and I hope you’ll join us!
